HanziGo has no user accounts and does not ask for your name, email or any personal information. Your learning progress stays in your own browser. We do not sell data — we barely have any.

On your device (local storage): your daily streak, points, quiz results, badges, unlocked levels and practice settings. This data never leaves your browser. You can erase it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

On our servers: nothing. The site is fully static — there is no user database.

HanziGo does not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers or fingerprinting. If we add basic, privacy-friendly analytics in the future, this policy will be updated first.

The site is served over HTTPS. Text-to-speech pronunciation is performed by your own browser's built-in speech engine, not by us or any third-party voice service. Links to external websites (such as our content sources) are governed by those websites' own policies.

HanziGo is safe for learners of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children or anyone else, because we collect it from no one.

Under regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA you have rights over your personal data. Since we do not hold any personal data about you, the most powerful privacy control is already in your hands: clear your browser storage, and every trace of your HanziGo activity is gone.

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page and describe the change here.
